AmazonSync, new SP-API modes now pay-per-use

Starting January 31, 2026, data exchange via Amazon SP-API services will become pay-per-use. Find out all the information.

What’s changing

Starting January 31, 2026, all third-party developers integrating with SP-API will be charged an annual subscription fee based on calls and usage of Amazon services.

This quota is defined by the use of the exchange of certain information with Amazon: in particular, the operations with the greatest impact will be those related to order downloads and inventory downloads.

What happens to Prestalia AmazonSync modules?

Our Amazon Sync modules use the SP-API (mandatory for all developers from 2022), so this change impacts the management of calls from Prestashop to Amazon handled by the module. Our primary goal is to maintain full functionality for our customers, minimizing the impact of this new Amazon service delivery method.

However, based on the call consumption of each Prestashop, in some cases where volumes are very high, adjustments may be required with specific packages to further increase the number of possible monthly calls while maintaining full functionality.

In all cases where volumes are not particularly high, no adjustments will be necessary and it will be possible to continue using the module as usual.

To control the number of calls and the maximum allowed limit, we are working to activate a control panel within the module in the next release. This allows for precise control of available and used requests.

How can I optimize the number of calls?

To limit the number of calls, we recommend checking your CRON configuration, especially those for order requests. Be sure to limit new order requests to 1 every 10 minutes or more, avoiding starting automatic downloads at the same time for all countries.

A correct configuration could be:

10:00 download orders from Italy
10:02 download orders from Germany
10:04 download orders from France
10:06 download orders from the Netherlands

and so on. Then again, increasing the time by at least 20 minutes:

10:20 downloading orders in Italy
10:22 downloading orders in Germany
10:24 downloading orders in France
10:26 downloading orders in the Netherlands

In this example, orders are downloaded once every 20 minutes for each country, avoiding repeated checks that could lead to reaching the limits imposed by Amazon.
