Fastbay 6.9.4: New Mappings for eBay Standardized Sizes and Even More Efficient Synchronization

Fastbay 6.9.4, the new update for the integration module connecting PrestaShop and eBay, is coming in September 2026.

This new version is designed to help sellers adapt to eBay’s new standardized size requirements for clothing and footwear listings, while introducing a new interface for matching PrestaShop catalog values with those officially recognized by eBay.

Fastbay 6.9.4 also introduces improvements to category management, data downloads, synchronization processes and diagnostic tools.

eBay’s new standardized size requirements

eBay is progressively introducing the requirement to use standardized size values in Clothing and Footwear categories. Custom values, unrecognized abbreviations or formats that do not match those expected for a specific category may no longer be accepted when publishing or revising a listing.

For example, a size in the PrestaShop catalog might be entered as:

  • Large
  • Lrg
  • Size L
  • 44 IT
  • 10 years
  • 10Y

eBay may instead require standardized values such as L, 44 or 9-10 years.

The correct value may vary depending on the eBay category, product type and marketplace where the listing is published. For this reason, a simple global replacement would not be sufficient: the same PrestaShop size may need to be converted differently depending on the destination eBay category.

New “Attribute Mapping” section

To manage these new requirements, Fastbay 6.9.4 introduces a new Attribute Mapping section in the module menu, allowing sellers to associate PrestaShop values with those officially accepted by eBay for each category.

Values are retrieved directly from the eBay APIs according to the selected category and configured marketplace. For example, it will be possible to define that:

  • “Large” in PrestaShop corresponds to “L” on eBay;
  • “10 years” corresponds to “9-10 years”;
  • “44 IT” corresponds to “44”.

During synchronization, Fastbay will automatically use the associated eBay value while leaving the original PrestaShop catalog data unchanged. There will therefore be no need to rename attributes already used by themes, filters, ERP systems or other integrations.

Category-by-category configuration

Because the values accepted by eBay depend on the final product category, the new interface displays the eBay categories already associated with the store categories and allows mappings to be configured in the correct context.

Sizes are displayed first. To configure them, simply:

  1. select the eBay category;
  2. associate the eBay aspect with the corresponding PrestaShop attribute group;
  3. select the correct eBay value for each catalog value;
  4. save the mapping.

When a PrestaShop value already matches one recognized by eBay, Fastbay automatically suggests the corresponding value, reducing the amount of work required for well-structured catalogs.

Reuse mappings across multiple categories

In larger catalogs, the same set of sizes may be used across several categories. Fastbay therefore allows a mapping to be applied to other compatible eBay categories, avoiding the need to manually repeat the same associations.

The module checks the compatibility of the available values and reuses the configuration only where it can be applied correctly.

Mappings remain optional

The new configuration does not block synchronization. If a value has not been mapped, Fastbay will continue sending the original value stored in PrestaShop.

This is useful for catalogs that already use sizes compatible with eBay standards. If a value is not accepted, eBay will return the corresponding message during synchronization, allowing sellers to correct only the attributes that actually require attention.

Category data updated directly from eBay

Fastbay 6.9.4 also updates the procedure used to download category-related information. From the Item Specifics / Conditions and Attribute Mapping sections, it is possible to download:

  • available conditions;
  • item specifics;
  • standardized attribute values;
  • information required for correct variation management.

During the operation, the progress percentage and number of processed categories are displayed. The module also stores the date of the latest update for each marketplace.

If data for a category is not yet available, it can be refreshed directly from the mapping screen and the new values can be displayed immediately without changing page.

Simpler category management

The new version also improves category tree navigation, making it clearer and more responsive while simplifying the management of branches and previously mapped categories.

The following areas have also been improved:

  • search by name;
  • subcategory expansion;
  • automatic opening of previously configured paths;
  • dynamic content loading;
  • category updates without reloading the page.

If no association has yet been configured between store categories and eBay categories, Fastbay also displays a guided message explaining how to proceed.

Faster and more efficient synchronization

Fastbay 6.9.4 introduces several optimizations to the synchronization engine. The information required for product publishing and variation management is prepared more efficiently, reducing repetitive processing during both standard and bulk synchronization operations.

The criteria used by the different export methods have also been standardized, ensuring that attribute mappings behave consistently in both manual synchronization and Bulk Sync.

Extended debugging for the latest eBay APIs

Fastbay’s debug mode has been expanded to include communications performed through eBay’s newer REST APIs.

In addition to traditional XML communications, the debug table can now display requests and responses in JSON format, together with the type of call, response status and data useful for troubleshooting.

Sensitive information, such as tokens and credentials, is automatically protected. The improved diagnostics will help advanced users and Prestalia technical support identify potential issues more quickly.

Improved compatibility with eBay and PrestaShop

Version 6.9.4 updates several integrations with eBay’s latest services and improves module compatibility with newer versions of PrestaShop.

Particular attention has been given to multilingual marketplaces and the correct handling of localized data returned by eBay, with the goal of ensuring operational continuity while the marketplace progressively introduces its new requirements.

How to prepare for the new size requirements

After installing Fastbay 6.9.4, we recommend that sellers operating in Clothing and Footwear categories:

  1. check the associations between PrestaShop categories and eBay categories;
  2. update the data from the Attribute Mapping section;
  3. review the available size values for the categories in use;
  4. configure any required mappings;
  5. progressively update existing listings.

Catalogs that already use compatible values may require very little intervention, while catalogs with custom sizes can be standardized without modifying the store’s original data.

How to get Fastbay 6.9.4

Fastbay 6.9.4 will be available during September 2026.

If you have an active ZEN option, you can request the update free of charge by opening a ticket through our support portal.
